3D Hot-Air Balloon





Description: In this project, students were to create a 3D hot-air balloon using a paper plate and strips of paper to create that 3D dimension. Next, they would sketch their basket and decorate it to their liking and add 3D cotton ball clouds to the sky. In this project we talked about scale and how students are able to view objects close up and far away analyzing the distance they are from them. Finally students are able to create their own landmark underneath their hot-air balloon showing the scale they used.

Extension: Students could use this project in Language Arts to write a short story about why they chose to travel over the landscape they picked.
