Description: This project is centered around introducing ourselves to our class and getting to learn about each other. In this project, we picked our favorite color of construction paper, traced our footprint and cut it out. We picked a variety of objects and came up with ways to create them on our footprints to show the different people and things that are a huge part of our lives. As you can see, the nine objects that I chose are: my family, sunshine, buttered noodles, shopping, hot yoga, running, protein shakes, Northern, and a dog print. All of these things hold a very special place in my heart and these nine things are what describe me best.
Extension: I would love to teach the lower grades such as kindergarten or first grade, so for my extension activity, I could have students create this collage on a poster board and bring in for their ‘special week’ describing all of the special people and things in their lives.
